As an option to contracting with agencies, the B.C. government is providing funding directly to families to purchase the services they require for their children with special needs.
Currently for families with children on the autism spectrum, funding includes $20,000 per year for children up to six years of age, and $6,000 for children ages 6 to 18 Programs that are currently available under the individualized funding option are: The Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention Program (EIBI) and Families on the EIBI program wait-list can use their autism funding to access EIBI's IF program.
