"One year ago the extend of his language at age three was “want juice”. Now my son can come home and tell me about his day. If you don’t believe that is a miracle you are not looking hard enough."

Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) Print E-mail
A provincially funded in-home support program for families with children with special needs, including children with autism, ages 3 to 19 who present with behavioural challenges.

The Positive Behavioural Support program is available for families in Delta, Surrey, and Langley, BC.

Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) works in partnership with families. Together we develop individualized assessments, plans, and strategies for supporting children. The plans and strategies are then implemented by families in their home. To assist families with their implementation of plans, we provide formal and informal training, modeling, and access to current research and information.

Our objectives include:

In partnership with families, reducing the child’s current challenging behaviours while providing families with the tools required to allow them to independently address challenging behaviours that may arise in the future;

In partnership with families, increasing the child’s self-help and independence skills, social skills, emotional competency, and communication skills;

Providing families with guidance and resources so that they may educate themselves further and focus their existing strengths and skills to support their child.
