A free event for REACH program children and families occurred May 15, 2022. A group of performance and exotic car enthusiasts – The Driver’s Experience Gruppe (DXG) drove their vehicles to Reach Child and Youth Development Society’s head office in Ladner and supported REACH by making donations of over $15,000 to our programs through registration. DXG members showcased their cars in front of our Child Development Centre parking lot so that REACH children and families could have a close look in person. It was a wonderful event where families were able to sit in the cars, take photos and eat treats from the Holi Masala food truck also provided by DGX! Police escorted the 50 + exotic cars, including Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porcshes, Audis and even a McLaren to Reach Society at 11 am to the delight of children and adults were grateful for the free coffee provided by Starbucks in the rainy conditions that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits! An additional treat was in store for REACH children: a trunk full of toys! Car toys were given away at the event and the remainders were distributed among programs to be used in session. Sending a BIG THANK YOU to DGX for making this amazing afternoon possible!
