Reach M-PWER Program

Multi-Element Parenting for Wellness, Education and Resilience.

What is the M-PWER Program?

M-PWER stands forMulti-Element Parenting for Wellness, Education and Resilience. It is a family and parenting support program that addresses the needs of families who have children with complex conditions by providing emotional and practical support. Parents gain increased capacity, knowledge and confidence in their parenting skills which leads to an enhanced quality of life for the whole family.

The M-PWR program is strength-based, goal focused, culturally safe and anti-oppressive, trauma informed as well as family and person centred. During the program, families will create a Family Action Plan with REACH staff identifying their priorites and goals as well as a transition plan once service is complete.

Eligibility:

Entry – Families are referred through their Ministry of Child and Family Development Social Worker, with children who have a developmental disability, have an ASD diagnosis or who are eligible for the At-Home Program

Exit – This will usually take place after 6 months
