Navigating Mental Health Services in BC for Children and Youth – ENGLISH

Mental health issues for children and youth is often a concern that parents are seeking support for, and this can sometimes be more complex, when their child a child has special needs. In this virtual session, Veena Birring Hayer, POPARD Family – School Liaison will:

• Provide a brief overview of the most common mental health challenges among children/youth
• Help parents/caregivers identify when to seek mental health support.
• Provide a review of how and where to access mental health support from primary care to tertiary care services.
