Emma Lea Farms Donate In A Berry Big Way

Joanne and Kevin Husband with daughter Katie Leek presented Reach Foundation Chair Denis Horgan and ED Renie D’Aquila with a cheque for $4132.21 from this year’s Canada Day Strawberry Fundraiser. Over the last three years, Emma Lea Farms has contributed $11,031 to the Building for Children Together project.

When asked about their reasons for donating to the new Reach Child Development Centre, Emma Lea’s Katie Leek volunteered that she has a close friend with a child with special needs and she knows firsthand how consuming care can be. Joanne Husband said that she is fortunate that her children and grandchildren were typically developing and wants to help children and families who struggle with developmental delays. Kevin Husband is a member of the Delta Agricultural Society and is happy to contribute to projects that purposefully strive for the betterment of the community
